Editorial Policy
Well Senior Hub exists to help seniors and the people who care for them make better-informed decisions — about products, about health and safety, and about the harder logistical and emotional realities of aging. This page explains how we approach that work.
How we choose what to write about
We prioritize topics that reflect real problems families actually face — drawn from common search patterns, caregiver forums, and firsthand experience — rather than simply chasing keywords with commercial value. Some of our content leads to a product; a substantial amount doesn’t, and exists purely to help someone understand a situation or make a decision.
How we research and select products
Product recommendations are based on manufacturer specifications, established brand reputation, and category research — not hands-on testing, unless we specifically say we tested something. Where we haven’t personally used a product, we say “we researched” or “we compared” rather than “we tested,” and we mean it literally.
We avoid sweeping, unsupported claims like “the best” or “the safest” unless there’s real evidence behind them, and we prefer measurable specifications — weight, capacity, dimensions — over marketing language. We don’t fabricate star ratings, reviews, or scarcity claims, and we don’t create urgency that isn’t real.
How we handle health and safety information
Claims about health, medication, or safety are grounded in guidance from recognized authorities rather than assumption or convenience. We do not present a single, oversimplified explanation as settled medical fact when the actual evidence is more nuanced — we’d rather be accurately complicated than falsely simple. Full detail on this is available on our Medical & Health Information Disclaimer page.
How affiliate relationships work here
Well Senior Hub earns commissions through affiliate partnerships, disclosed on our Affiliate Disclosure page and within any article containing affiliate links. A commercial relationship with a company never determines whether we recommend them — we’ve turned down or left out affiliate opportunities that didn’t fit a specific article’s actual needs.
Corrections
We update articles when product details change, when pricing shifts, or when we learn something was inaccurate. If you spot an error, we’d genuinely like to know — reach out through our About page.
Who’s behind this site
Well Senior Hub is an independent publication, not affiliated with any single manufacturer, retailer, or care provider. Our perspective is shaped by direct family caregiving experience combined with careful research — more on that on our About page.
